Description
No,this is neither Japanese of Arabic.
Since everybody else seems to be doing Baybayin/Alibata, I've decided to try my hand at co-opting a different indigenous Filipino script. This logo of sorts reads "Omniskriba", written in a modified version of Surat Mangyan, the ancestral script of the Hanunuo Mangyans of Southern Mindoro. The script itself is integral in keeping Hanunuo culture alive through its use in the Mangyan poetic form called "Ambahan".
The script I used is a heavily modified version of the Surat Mangyan particularly in the way vowels are used. I hope I am not offending any cultural sensibilities, of course. I think of this as both a tribute and an infusion of new life into this fascinating, if overlooked, motif in our shared national heritage.
If anyone's interested, I made a brush set for this ^_^.
